About
Four O Fifty Six is a UK prog rap project built around a four-digit number the listener is left to work out. Narrative, hook-forward, close-mic'd — low-baritone verses into big sung choruses held long into a vocoder, electric violin as signature lead, township call-and-response under the hooks. Closer in spirit to Kae Tempest, The Streets and Open Mike Eagle than to anything on daytime radio.
